FietsMeister consists of the Rotterdam based consultant Benjamin Schaipp and his Dutch / German network of consultants, urban and traffic designers, transition specialists and engineers
Experience
Benjamin (Augsburg 1979) studied and worked in Hamburg and Berlin and has worked on cycling improvement in and around the Nederlands for 16 Years:
- Founder / consultant at FietsMeister since 2024
- Expert at Dutch Cycling Embassy since 2024
- Sr. officer/consultant for cycling infrastructure at the city of Rotterdam 2018-2023, 2008-2010
- Cycling officer and author of the cycling policy/program at the city of Leiden 2011-2016
- Sr. consultant sustainable mobility and cycling policy for several European cities/regions at TRIDÉE.eu Rotterdam/Antwerp 2016-2020
